Truly needed to read this as someone who is feeling stuck and doing a complete 180 turn on my career choices. Also, really needed to read this as someone who has been stuck in a "productive" mindset instead of truly enjoying and being present with the people and things that bring me joy. We live in a society where productivity is marketed to us and painted to be the root of joy, but that's what capitalism wants from us. Don't feel ashamed or any less of for following a path you are truly passionate about. At the end you won't remember the money you made, only your memories and connections. Life flies you by if you don't take the time to recognize what truly brings that fire in you, that excitement. Everything feels flat, mellow, like a check-list you must get done and that's not the way to live life. I loved this reading, thank you.
Thank you so much Krystal, it means the world!! You can find my book across multiple bookstores and websites depending on which country you live in, here are the details: https://www.amazon.com/Design-Your-Life-Career-Way/dp/1398617156 -- I hope you enjoy it! β€οΈ
Hey Eri! We havenβt chatted in a while and I missed that so much. Hope you are doing great dear.
You know I feel that most of your posts are for me, like you are talking to me.
As if you know exactly what is wrong with me or my life and you are calling me out to help me see things more clearly.
I loved this article as always. Your book isnβt available here yet otherwise I would have got it. I will get it on my next trip abroad and I really canβt wait to get it.
Thank you so much Rayda! Missed seeing your comments too :) Remind me where youβre based and maybe I can help with the book? I could send you an ebook or something similar π€
Aww π₯°. Thank you βΊοΈ but I actually prefer physical books π«£ and for my eyes as well, too much screen time. I am probably going on a trip soon so I will get it then.
iβm always in awe of people who seem to have it all mapped out. wise beyond their years, clear on their purpose, steadily chasing their goals. and then thereβs me, almost 30 with three kids, stuck in a job i donβt love, wishing i lived in some alternate universe where people go on quests and not sit behind desks just to survive
I enjoyed the overall sentiment of the article, emphasizing the importance of your feelings and figuring out what it means for you to be happy, sucessful, & such. I really like the idea of you owe yourself a life well-lived! An idea that I will keep in mind :). Similarly, this reminds me of when I began to check in and ask myself, "If I die right now, will I have any regrets?" and realized I was not living the life I want to. In short, this spurred me to become much more motivated on completing my daily tasks and ultimately working on my lifetime goals. Tomorrow is not guaranteed, so might as well try your best today to live without regrets!
I am as confused as a bird could be without knowing which tree to perch on. I recently just found myself and reversed to my direction. Writing is a very vast world that gets us consumed even before we start. The space is made for me this newsletter is for me and I really love it.
So young, yet so wise. I am proud of you. I learn from you.
Loveddddd loved this post sooo perfect π«Άπ»π«Άπ»
